Private limited company "Geosintetika" was established in 1994.
The company started its business activity from implementation of geosynthetic materials into construction process. Geomembranes - flexible membranes made from high density polythene sheet (Eng. HDPE - high density polythene) protecting soil against possible pollution - became one the most popular products.
Today we can proudly state - we were the pioneers, the first in Lithuania to employ such advanced technology in this field. Up to now "Geosintetika" have already installed more than 1.000.000,00 m² of insulating geomembranes, including such objects as:
-Tank-farm, "Klaipėda Oil" PLC;
-Tank-farm, "Ventspils Oil" PLC;
-Tank-farm, "Mažeikiai Oil" PLC in Būtingė oil terminal;
-Kaunas waste water treatment plant. Silt ground;
-Waste dumps in Netherlands;
-Waste dumps in Lithuania (Vilnius regional waste dump in Kazokiškės, Šiauliai regional waste dump in Aukštrakiai, Klaipėda regional waste dump in Dumpiai, Kaunas city waste dump in Kaišiadorys, Plungė town waste dump);
-Large number of petrol stations.
Developing the business and seeking to ensure continuous employment of the personnel, the company decided to engage into additional field of activities - to specialize in construction of log houses.
Seeking to ensure the best quality of works, the Finnish Company KONTIO (www.kontio.fi) was chosen as reliable partners for production of wooden house structures.
By now we have already built quite a number of log houses both in Lithuania and in Kaliningrad Region.
During long years of work "Geosintetika" has earned reputation of a construction company well known for good quality of works.
Having noticed the growing demand in the construction market for management of construction 
projects, the company made the next step in business development and decided to engage in this field as well.
Having started from smaller objects, “Geosintetika”, as a general contractor in construction works, at present is successfully competing for bigger different-purpose buildings.
Aiming at more effective performance, the company was restructured in 2006, establishing two departments:
1) Department of specialized works (insulation works employing geomembranes, construction of log buildings, construction of embankments/quay walls with the help of plastic piles) ;
2) Department for management of construction projects.
After the restructuring, “Geosintetika” has significantly increased its scope of works.
At present the company has 32 employees; most of them are highly qualified professionals in their respective field.
“Geosintetika”, as a construction company, not only actively runs its direct business, but is also interested in various sports events.
The company sponsors the following sport events: windsurfing, Klaipėda city children’s track and field athletics.
We also participate in other sponsorship programs.
The goal of “Geosintetika” for the nearest future is to maintain current positions and to become one of the leading companies in management of construction projects in Western Lithuania.
